Madrigal at PDI debate
by canopyofthoughts

sen. jambyIn a presidential debate sponsored by PDI , Sen. Jamby Madrigal was asked what she likes about her rival Sen. Manny Villar.

Madrigal said: "Maganda ang pagtina ng buhok niya."

Not just once, but twice

This is the second time Sen. Madrigal made a humorous remark when asked what she likes about Villar.

In a recent interview, Madrigal mentioned that she likes Villar's ‘Botox injections'.

I don't know if she means it literally or maybe she was just referring to Villar's budget insertion.

THIS is my cocoon
A simple place for my transformation
The lair of my imagination
The only place where i hibernate...
The special region where I can feel the warmth.
THIS is my cocoon
A lone area for my thoughts
The only place where I can hide from all the noise outside
This is where I enjoy solitude
This is where I make my own noise.
Enjoy this simple, unknown place.
My Home...my Cocoon.
Share with and watch me in my transformation...

*THE STORY of a TENDER REED*
Storm clouds start to gather and in this cold and wrecked boat, I start to shiver.
Suddenly the heavy rain pours. And I begin to lose control because the water gets mad and the wind blows hard.
Confusion and fear embrace my little body.
I clasp my hands together and call the Almighty Father: "God please paddle my boat and lead me in my journey."
Then despite the roaring thunder, I hear God whispers: "Do not be afraid. You are my creation, my masterpiece. I made you and like a painter who adores and protects his work, I will take care of you."
From these words, I thought:
"No matter what happens, one thing is for sure...I will survive. But in case the boat sinks, I --a Tender Reed-- will swim the water deep.

Drops of Jupiter by Train

Now that she’s back in the atmosphere
With drops of Jupiter in her hair, hey, hey, hey, hey
She acts like summer and walks like rain
Reminds me that there’s time to change, hey, hey, hey, hey
Since the return from her stay on the moon
She listens like spring and she talks like June, hey, hey, hey, hey
hey, hey, hey, hey

Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the milky way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Now that she’s back from that soul vacation
Tracing her way through the constellation, hey, hey, hey
She checks out Mozart while she does tae-bo
Reminds me that there’s room to grow, hey, hey, hey, hey
yea...

Now that she’s back in the atmosphere
I’m afraid that she might think of me as plain ol jane
Told a story about a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the milky way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there

Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken
Your best friend always sticking up for you, even when I know you’re wrong
Can you imagine no first dance, freeze dried romance five-hour phone
Conversation
The best soy latte that you ever had . . . and me

Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back toward the milky way

Tell me did you sail across the sun
Did you make it to the milky way to see the lights all faded
And that heaven is overrated

Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
One without a permanent scar
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself
